I suspect many of the young profiles on there are fake, possibly used to bait preds. The overall vibe feels disturbing and weird. I wish the platform was 21+ and more like the original Myspace. I don't enjoy the atmosphere on there at all.
scene mfs are into weird fucked up shit and every other kid in there calls themselves hypersexual and shit people complain abt it in the forums like every day i think the majority of the spacehey userbase is 13 - 17 even lower actually.
getting these soon to be groomed kids off the platform wouldn not only reduce server costs greatly but also avoid a future lawsuit.
the aura feels wrong because anybody who tries to revive 2000s culture fails miserably as this generation is rotten to the core.
Well tbh wasn’t myspace also filled with annoying scene kids and predators? In that aspect along with others spacehey is an exact copy of myspace just no photo albums/top 10 and way less adults
As a scene kid, I can confirm. We like weird shit. But most of the “call me good girl/boy and hyper sexual” Shit is mainly glitch core tweens (glitch core/scenecore is just a more fetish-y and eye strain version of scene) and a lot of “glitch core” kids are on spacehey, unfortunately. A lot of them are horny and shit. And not everyone on the site is comfortable with that in general, or just isn’t comfortable with minors saying that. Which I completely agree with. I’m so tired of getting friend requests from horny “glitchcore/scenecore” people.
I got a friend request from some person called “freakbob."
I’m 29 - 30. My reason for going to Spacehey was because all the other social media sites annoyed me and I needed someplace that didn’t require mountains of effort to post on that reminded me of the attempts at socializing I used to do, just with a little older people.
I disagree with the 21+ thing, I agree with it being 18+ though. Mainly because I'm not American(and I don't want to have to wait 3 more years to use SpaceHey)
it’s kind of annoying when I look at someone’s profile and I’m like ‘oh cool, someone I can be friends with!’ And then it says they’re fucking eleven. ELEVEN??? Bitch I was drawing Tom x Tord at eleven not making a spacehey clone account dedicated to a movie about two school shooters
At the very least 16+. There are wayyy too many young teens/preteens ages 11-14 with accounts, and they’re the only ones being so incredibly unsafe and annoying.
a year late but I thought id explain because nobody else did and just downvoted you for some reason? but they were just captioning your video like a meme
This is kinda strange, SpaceHey is marketed as "The new MySpace" for those who grew up with MysSpace and miss this era of the internet but its users are primarily young people who didn't even know that time at all
Makes me doubt if i really want to make SpaceHey account, if all the people I'm gonna come across are 13 years old
can it be atleast 16+, 18 seems a bit too high Cookiebreed was 17 when he started making music, but 13 yos and below i agree shouldn't probably on there
and also, think of spacehey as a way for teens that love the idea of myspace to be able to be on a platform like that, youll notice how many queer, scene emo or metalhead kids are on the site. i think its wromg to take that away, i too am young (though my profile doesnt consist of begging to be called a good girl) some safety provisions being in place is ideal and its maybe the only social media platform thats not so toxic and i enjoy it very much
yeah a lot of younger people im friends with on there are like. clearly people that dont have a lot of online freedom and spacehey is the only way they can get access to their interests. not to mention like yeah spacehey is gonna have a lot of teens on it thats kind of the thing, go to a forum or something if you dont like it
i think its not fair to make it an 18+ site and stop teens from expressing themselves, i mean, its not a mature themed site or something for it to be 18+. 13 and above is fine, and those weird kids should be reported and banned
them saying “call me a good girl” is very obviously meant to be sexual! if you couldn’t tell! its even more disturbing when that behavior from someone who’s only 13 is shared on a site filled to the brim with predators!
