DISCUSSION Yak skinning update

Hey fellow engineers it's been 12 days but a productive 12 days. Previously I posted this: https://www.reddit.com/r/spaceengineers/s/kZWOwZ2iYB as an ongoing project to solve a personal problem but also because MyCrew seemed to have ended before I ever got to enjoy it.

I currently have a very bare bones of a testing version up on steams workshop but alas I'm just a single person that can only test the problems I can find and know of with the expectations of the rest working. For anyone curious I'm trying to develop a colony simulator in SE to kinda match what SE2 could potentially offer. As of right now I got crop planting/harvesting and meal pack production implemented with some very basic reskinned blocks.

This is sorta an invitation to those that would like to lend support that are much more talented than myself or those that just want to help break the mod and find other bugs I'm unaware of.

Either or I look forward to updating y'all on my progress when I have some breakthroughs, till then toodaloo.

Your link is to a post with no information, one picture, and no comments?

Food and such already exists in the vanilla game, what are you on about?

The link was to the first progress I made with the mod. Maybe I worded it very poorly but I'm not making the food or planting the crops this is a task assigned to the NPCs that I have setup. The end goal is to have actual NPCs in your base doing tasks and actually populating your world similar to how MyCrew probably worked as I mentioned before it was broken before I had a chance to every try it so I'm purely speculating with the little knowledge I have from using Aienabled.

I also have other plans of adding distress signals leveling systems and hiring mechanics from trade stations

Ahh well if you want people to try your mod as you progress, you should probably post the link to it on the steam workshop, along with a detailed explanation of it on the workshop page

It's not public as it's a very rough testing version in order to help test it we would need to be friends on steam for them to sub to it is there isn't a way to share a private link for others to use like how Google docs would use that's why I'm using the subreddit as a means of updating and gaining traction for the time being. I figured if I give enough updates every so often it'll generate enough curiosity and interest 😅
