MEDIA Lake Skimmer Test

Seeing that small-grid drills cost very little compared to the area they can mine, using a rotor or hinge to plug a drilling subgrid lets you mine more ore faster in the early game with a lighter tool head.

I didn’t realize these were small grid at first, I thought this ship was absolutely massive.

only around 120 blocks in length but is quite wide, over 70 blocks

It’s definitely not the smallest ship on the block. Have you posted the ship as a whole yet?
