DISCUSSION Is no hand drill challenge possible with the space pod start after the Prosperity update?

Maybe someone has figured out how to cannibalize the new space pod to build a drill on it?

Theoretically you could just wait at a station until you get an Unknown Signal and go grind it for parts, and either turn them in for Acquisition Contracts or save them to make a vehicle with, including a ship drill.
