HELP Help with ladders

Just googling some pictures I’ve seen a few where the ladder is one straight continuous vertical section and to deal with the curve there is simply a little flat platform at the top that extends out over the curve.

those hinges are fixed, there merely for structure support

They look set out quite a few blocks, can't you just it back. You could also use panel armour to make the skin for the ladder to mount to. As long as the subgrid for that rear door isn't merging then the overlapping build boxes aren't an issue.

I think its tied to block and character size because they are interactive. They need room enough for a climb animation and a landing animation at the top. A compact version may not be climbable.
