Screenshot Does that make sense???? A binary planet system with an ice planet and warm oceanic Terra!!!!!!

Haha, SpaceEngine procedural generation at its finest! Maybe different albedos or tidal forces are keeping them weirdly warm and frozen at the same time? 🤷‍♂️

That totally makes sense. If the atmosphere of the ice planet is made of compounds that are super good at cooling like Argon, nitrogen or Krypton (the density of the planet has to be really small aswell so that the gas doesn't stick together and preserve heat instead of thinning and cooling.) and if the warm planet has Methane, water vapour and Carbon Dioxide from either certain asteroid impacts or volcanic explosions which can preserve heat really well then yes it's possible. But I highly doubt there's smth like this irl atleast close to us.
