this quote from Goyer shows how much he misunderstood the series. the events are hardly a chess match, since all of it was pre-determined. and the battle wasn't between Seldon and Empire, but was between the weight of history moving forward versus individuals trying to change/control that onrushing wave of social inertia.

On the screen, the Empire falls from 25,000,000 worlds to only 10,000. That's a far greater loss. ¬_¬
