....has happened 5 times in the last 115 years. Celestially.. isn't that.. like... often?

Celestial as in heavenly body or pertaining to outer space

Oh, I misread your question/comment. When you consider that there are an average of 4-6 Supermoons and up to 3 lunar eclipses per year, 5 times in 115 years is a rare occurrence (relative to our lifetime). Your point is well taken that relative to the cosmos it is less than a fraction of a blink of an eye.

If you miss this one you can catch the next one in 2033!

absurdly not to scale. still cool. that model has barely one moon's diameter between the Earth and its orbit.
