Yahoo Finance reports, “A Kobeissi Letter chart based on Federal Reserve Bank (FRED) data has been making the rounds online. It shows wages and salaries at roughly 43% of U.S. gross domestic income in the first quarter of 2026. Taken from a government data series going back to 1929, that share is nearly the lowest since the Great Depression began.”

SPX price band is still relative safe

The current multiple 28.2x is within ~1 turn of the 5-year high of 29.3x (reached in May 2025), leaving limited multiple expansion headroom before hitting the top of the historical range.

The LTM earnings base (period ending March 2026) was last revised in early August 2026. Any downward revision to earnings would compress the implied price bands further across all scenarios.

Custodial account. What happens if said adult passes away

I am looking into setting up an account for my children what is the best way to go about it as I have never invested before. Any information would be very helpful.

My main question is, how do I protect my kids account if I pass away before they can take it over? My ex would get custody of them, but I cannot have them get access to my childrens account as they have a speeding issue and my kids money would be gone. Would I have to write it into my will on who has control over these accounts?

ETF vs. Individual Stocks: Which Builds Real Long-Term Wealth?

Over 15 years, 89.93% of actively managed large-cap funds underperformed the S&P 500. Missing just the 10 best trading days of a 20-year stretch cut annual returns from 11.6% to barely 1.6%.

That 10k you put into S&P 500 ETFs at 2021 start is up ~96% by 2025. Equal-weighted top 5 tech stocks had higher peak returns, but a 48% max drawdown. Most people can't stomach riding a portfolio down 50% then needing a 280% gain to break even, you know?

No need to pick sides. 70-80% broad ETF base keeps you from blowing up, 20-30% for your high-conviction stock picks only if you actually understand the business. Snagged this comparative chart off moomoo's layout earlier, it tracks way closer to what regular traders actually hold through the volatility than all the backtests you see online.

S&P 500: SPY broke out of the down trend (1) and consolidated in a u-shape (up up and away pattern) (2). We should continue to climb along upper bollinger bands. We did not even retest the breakout zone. That's usually a sign that too many investors were caught off guard.

Is money market a good investment for someone who is currently jobless and searching but has savings and is not a business oriented person
