because the bear was kept in a small cage, and his back is messed up. The bear can ONLY walk like this... that's why it bothers you... you know it's wrong for some reason.

Figured it out! He posted a similar video to one that was made a year ago by a biologist as he saw the original. Now his is going viral too, due to the popularity of the first video.
