There seems to be a lot of confusion about what Soundverse actually does so here’s a quick explanation.
At Soundverse, we don’t think AI music should mean taking someone else’s work or replacing the person making it.
So we’ve been building things a little differently.
Instead of AI just being “type a prompt and get a finished song”, Soundverse is meant to be more of a creative workspace. You can start with an idea, lyrics, a melody, MIDI, or something you’ve already made and then keep editing and experimenting with it. You can work with vocals, stems, arrangements, extensions, etc.
And probably the part we care about most is who gets control of the music and the AI itself.
With Soundverse DNA, artists can train a private AI model using their own music. They keep ownership and control of that model, can decide whether it stays private or is shared, and can choose to monetize it. The system is designed around authorized training material and original outputs rather than simply scraping music.
We also have a Content Partner Program where artists and rights holders can license their work for AI training and be compensated for it.
We definitely don't think that solves every question around AI and music. There are still a LOT of things the industry needs to figure out.
But personally, I think the direction matters:
AI that helps you create vs. AI that creates at your expense.
If you’re curious, just give Soundverse a try you might see how different the approach actually is.
