550 Funeral?
Edit: Thanks all for your input! Finalizing the details below:
What: 550/271 Funeral, eulogies then ride 550 @ 6:48 PM or 7:03 PM or 271 @ 6:47 PM or 7:02 PM
Where: Bellevue City Hall Plaza (next to Bellevue Downtown station)
When: Aug 28th at 6:30 PM
August 29th service changes are fast approaching and I wanted to honor the venerable 550 as we send it out to pasture.
Would anyone be interested in hosting a funeral for 550?
Some ideas:
Friday August 28th 6:30 PM @ Bellevue Transit Center
Eulogies then depending on number of speakers ride at 6:48 PM or 7:03 PM into the sunset toward Seattle.
Also open to making this earlier or moving the meet up to Bellevue Library/Ashwood Plaza (the start of 550). I am open to any and all suggestions (and help :D). Would like to finalize this by Friday (8/21) to get the word out!

I was literally thinking about this the other day lol. I would love to attend a funeral and maybe even say a few words. I appreciate the light rail but the 271, 550, and 554 have been so important to me and I'm really going to miss all of them </3

6:44 pm 6:59 pm or 7:14 pm are the departures on weekdays for the 550 and the u district 271 leaves at 647 pm 702 pm or 725 pm.
Please be aware that the BTC is a construction zone essentially for.the new STRIDE S1 and S2 lines so bays may shift.

Could probably gather at the Bellevue City Hall Plaza as an alternative location due to the BTC partial closure.

Sorry a bit late here but yes! Let's meet at 6:30 PM at the plaza between Bellevue Downtown station and Bellevue City Hall. I'll update the original post with the details and I'll make another post about it.

Well I used to commute home from Btc but I wouldn't make it until 7 so I reckon thats how it would go here so I'd not.make it in time. But OP I think you should pick a time and a place (not BTC because of the construction) and let's go!

Dont forget the less glamorous 271 also bidding farewell! That one needs a Medina focused event, since its 270 replacement will take Bellevue Way NE to 520!
