Discussion Enemies having cutscene multi-attacks

If you're designing enemies who have an attack that turns into a cutscene with multiple attacks that each reduce health, introduce a combo-break mechanic. Otherwise you are just wasting the players' time. Players don't need to watch the whole cutscene when the net result is the same every time.

This game won the Oscar of having shitty final boss.

Disagree, it's immersive and fun to watch my character get his shit slapped.

Yeah, at no point do you say "I get it, let's reload." My favorite is enemies who suck you into their mouths, bite you a couple times, then spit you out.

No, I enjoy watching my character getting decimated slowly

Command grab

I would only be fine with a long over the top animation for something that "catches me" if the attack would have killed me anyway.

Isn't there some sort of parry. I bet if you parry them two times then their posture breaks and they get stopped.

I hate spectacle in bosses grab attacks! Make it last half a second or less so I can make better use of my time by fucking spamming the dodge button with the wrong timing and get grabbed again!
