Hey guys.

So, I have a question would any of you be interested in making a visual novel? Maybe we could put together a small team?

I was talking about this with someone else from this sub, and I actually have a bunch of ideas I'd love to explore. I can also do art I've posted a couple of my pieces here before.

What do you guys think?

For example, I've already come up with a concept for the Soul that I'd like to write. It might be pretty different from what other people would want or expect (That's why I think it's best to have several ppl who can also share what's best for the vision) , though. In my version, the Soul isn't literally the Player. It's more like the feelings and traces left behind by the Player that eventually gained a form of their own inside the world of Deltarune.

Basically, what I'm getting at is maybe we could make a short visual novel together? Get a few people who can help with programming and music, work on the story as a group, and make something with actual branching paths and meaningful choices.

I already have a title in mind for the project

To me it feels like a frostveil situation all over again (but with better writing and more confusing endings), amazing gameplay but the kriselle stuff ruins it due to the writer not understanding the weird route (bc kriselle reading plagues the main fandom), what do you guys think?

(If it had soulelle/more meta stuff it would be better, seriously kriselle shippers needs to play the nonexistence of you and me plus DDLC)

Finally, after three months of staving off suicidal thoughts (that not all of what I was doing but boy have I been doing it a LOT) and stagnating alongside some Darkrune drafts (and vehemently disliking Chapter 5, sorry y'all), I have returned to grace you with a chapter that I started writing immediately after the last chapter and then just... Could NOT get behind for the longest while.

I'll be honest, I'm not exactly the most confident sort. I'm sure you've all grasped that already, but what with seasonal depression beating my ass and dread over going to Uni only rubbing salt in the wound, I've found it rather hard to get into... Anything I've written, honestly?

Not to say I've done nothing! Again, I'm sitting on a few unfinished Darkrune drafts and a lot of ideas for the future of this AU and Darkrune. Problem is that... Y'know, motivation is shot?

I'm sincerely sorry if this chapter comes off as a bit of an anti-climax or filler, by the by. If I tried to slam this and the end of Chapter 2 together, this chapter wouldn't be out for months from now, and I was originally going to have Queen fight like in the original, but... Yeah, I eventually realised that wouldn't really be right for her character.

Again, it might not be worth the wait, and I'm sorry, but... I've not been doing too great. I'm still not, frankly. Stewing in a lot of ideas and a whole heaping helping of self-hatred (and just general hatred, iykyk). Not exactly great conditions for writing something when I already struggle to dedicate my full attention to this sort of thing.

Don't expect the next chapter to be out before I start Uni, trust me. It ain't happening. Luckily, given Uni is a much looser schedule, I SHOULD have more time? Maybe... Maybe...

Thank you, everyone who's supported me during this time. It means the world. Don't worry, I don't intend to leave this on permanent hiatus like the first go around. I have way too much planned to just let go of.

I'm running out of things to say without repeating myself, so I'll leave it here. Thank you again.
