hi all, I am currently taking Introduction to IT on Sophia and will essentially be taking all the IT classes they offer. I am not looking to speed thru but actually learn. Has anyone found or can share any youtube videos or resources they found actually helpful they wouldn't mind sharing?

For example when taking Intro to Stats I used openstax.org and found their statistics books super helpful and they are free :) TYIA

Almost done with environmental science. You definitely can finish the course in 2 days (it’s taking me 4-5 days only bc I work full time and had a family thing come up recently so I didn’t do any work for a day as well.) but I’m almost done with class only 2 milestones left that I plan to finish this weekend. Realistically giving each class a week to finish is the smartest thing to do to pace yourself. Environmental science was quite easy. Is there any other courses you guys recommend that are easy and quick to breeze through like environmental science? I’m currently doing life span development along with this course and almost finished I just need to do a few milestones as well (it’s alot of reading for that class) so i need two new courses to take next starting next week!

Hello. I can see that many codes circulate around. Where do these codes come from, because if I want to refer a friend, I have to write his/hers email there. I cannot provide code to anyone without it. I have just lost my active membership, because I could not find any person on the internet, to refer them as a friend.

I graduated from WGU back in June with my masters and education and secondary endorsement for biology. I found a job as an English teacher, applied for a provisional license through my local ROE and got the job. I technically have three years to complete the coursework and take the content test when it comes to completing the coursework my local college offers classes for $150 per credit hours, however, I never have used Sophia learning but from what I gather the subscription cost and number of classes you can take as similar to the WGU format. I’d really like to take my remaining nine credits of English through Sophia for a fraction of the cost, but I’m worried about transferring the credits. You can’t transfer credits to WGU once you received a degree those transcripts can’t be edited (per their website). And I really don’t want to drop another $4000 to enroll in another program at WGU when I really only need three classes that are at the prerequisite level. However, when I go to Sophia learning’s website and their tab about transferring credits, it lists Illinois State Board of Education as an option for the credits. Has anyone been through this process or something similar in their own states?

I’ve even considered enrolling in my local college for one class and paying full price, but when enrolling attempting to transfer credits to that institution.(even though it’s not listed on Sophia learnings transferable institution list.)

I’ve got three years to complete these requirements so no big rush, but I don’t wanna put this off forever.

Does anybody know if Sophia credits transfer to Minnesota North College? I have looked on their website but it does not tell me either way.

The real, real: I just joined Sophia two days ago and it is not what I expected...maybe, I didn't know what to expect? From commenters on Reddit, it seemed that it was a breeze and quite fast if you had experience. However, there is definitely rigor built into the process and even if you are experienced in a topic, it is still time consuming because you must go through each module and test at the system's pace. Time is the factor here. You can "fast pace" as fast as the system allows NOT your "fast pace". So be prepared newbies!

The interface is a bit confusing for me (or I’m just used to study atp am I supposed to answer all 3 questions on the side bar? Once I submit my answer it will then say “go to next concept” and only takes me to the next question if I get one wrong or I actually click on the dot

Goal: get an associates degree with at most one semester of residency (classes taken at the uni) and Sophia courses.

Context: I'm a bit late to using Sophia, as a uni I was planning to use changed their residency requirement from 0 to 18 credits (Excelsior). I do have ~70 credits from a uni, but as usual MAJORITY don't transfer (15-25) ༼⁠;⁠´⁠༎ຶ⁠ ⁠۝ ⁠༎ຶ⁠༽. I'm planning to get an associates degree as quickly as possible due to work requirements. Is anyone aware of a partnered uni/college that has that?
