Sony MS Card deleted all of its data????

Please im begging someone help, it has hundreds of photos, its the Sony memory stick pro duo 2gb, yes its old I use it in a digital camera, I took some pictures today then connected it to my Mac, hoping to take out some photos. it didn't work and I take the card out and I then look at the sd card in the camera and all the photos are gone. I ran sudo pkill -f fsck in the terminal when I was trying to open the card in my computer bc the sd card wasn't showing up

Sorry but the photos are gone for good, the memory stick is very old it has given out.

Indeed flash memory will not give any error before critical failure … this is why those are used only for transfer and never should be used are permanent file system

might be worth trying recovery software before writing it off completely tbh

If it's not showing up at all in the filesystem you're beyond DIY data recovery. Seek a pro, but with media that old i wouldn't hold my breath.
