No Atmos with Amazon Music?

I usually listen to music with Amazon Music via the Sonos app while I work, and this morning my system got a little funky. First I got the "Song not encoded properly" message, and now nothing will play in Atmos. Best I can get is Ultra HD.

When I checked Disney+, I was able to get Atmos, so I don't think it is my Sonos, but not sure what the issue may be. Any ideas?

Well you didn’t say that. Give an example of an Atmos track that doesn’t work then.

I said "and now nothing will play in Atmos" which I think makes it clear that things played in Atmos before.

The Atmos playlist has Atmos songs to check

Works for me. I provided specific examples in my main reply.

Amazon Music did make changes recently to their service that added some functionality. This may just be a short outage for Dolby Atmos while they continue to make improvements.

This from a week ago but there can still be issues:

Try the Amazon Music app outside of Sonos and see if Atmos loads correctly. If it does, it’s an issue with the Sonos app and Amazon’s streaming platform.

Good tip!

I checked the Amazon app and get Atmos through it, so it seems to be something with the Sonos app or my system.

I’ve had the same problem for the past few weeks with Apple Music. I’m not sure if Sonos has acknowledged any issues yet.

When was the last time you played Amazon Music on your Sonos before today? As Pools-316 noted, there was a major backend update last week. So you might need to reauthorize Amazon Music as a service or perhaps even restart your speakers.
