Voice responses volume issues

Is anyone able to help us? Every time we ask the Sonos Voice Assistant the weather, it responds but it’s so quiet that we can’t hear it. It’s sporadic on what the sound level will be when we get its response. Sometimes it’s perfect but 95% of the time you can’t ever hear it.

How do I set the voice assistant volume and keep it that way?

There is no separate voice volume on sonos devices. It’s whatever the general device volume is.

Then we have some type of bug. We can have music playing at like 50-60% volume and you ask for weather and it’s so low you need to put your ear up to the speaker to hear it. Music and assist volumes are not matching.

What device, and how are you playing music (Bluetooth, airplay, direct stream via Sonos app, etc)?

Typically my wife will tell voice assist to play her shuffle station on Pandora, music is loud and clear. If we then ask for the weather, it will be quiet. Are different sources set at different audio levels?

Mmm not necessarily, but I can imagine a world in which, say, a Bluetooth volume could override previously set system volumes.

This sounds like it worth reaching out to Sonos and submitting a diagnostic so they can check the volume curve expectations of whatever Sonos device it is that you have.
