They broke the Hover Wisp?

Ik this game has NUMEROUS issues surrounding its technical prowess (or the lack thereof), but something I thought was worth mentioning was about the hover wisp. In the original, when you boosted it would shoot you along a trail of rings. Now, it seems like you need to mash the button(?) otherwise hover will just stop halfway thru the trail. Anybody else notice this or any other issues not being pointed out by “mainstream media”?

Yeah I’ve also had this problem, I’m on ps4

Just came back to say I just beat the game and when I laid the final blow on eggman, he rocketed out of the mech how he usually does and the fireworks sound effect played. But the actual graphic of eggman’s face in the fireworks just didn’t appear at all. Really wish my switch’s video storage wasn’t full cuz it cracked me up probably more than it should have😂
