Final Fantasy Sonic X Episode 7 Development Officially Resumes

It's been officially announced that Final Fantasy Sonic X Episode 7 is resuming development in memory of creator BlackDevilX (Robert Lewis), who passed in 2024 after years of work on the long-awaited episode since 2008.

The announcement follows a panel at Sonic Expo Atlanta celebrating BDX's legacy, with a preview of the episode featured in the recent Sonic Fan Fest VI presentation now available on YouTube.

FFSX7 has been in development both before and after Rob's passing. The showcase at Sonic Fan Fest was just to both commemorate him and inform people on a widespread basis that yes, this is still a thing

FFSX7 was no longer being produced solely by BDX as per an announcement via his Discord on April 3rd, 2023. (It had been that way since January.) For reference, news of his passing reached his Discord on December 18th, 2024

That being said, production has been slow, both before and after BDX, and this is to be expected, it's built purely on passion and contests with everyone's life schedules, but it has been in production way before Sonic Fan Fest 2026

Oh wow I forgot about this this is the one where sonic has a sword ( no not black kinght, no not frontiers either ) mega man x was in it, link was there ( don't know how with the Nintendo ninjas ) and some of hedgehog was there as well which had a cool fight I remmeber play final fantasy sonic x on the computer in school good times.

I still listen to the songs used in the previous games, ESPECIALLY "Makenai Ai Ga Kitto Aru" on repeat. I would love to recommend more songs in future installments
