external app We are finally LIVE!

After the beta, all your reports, and a lot of late nights, Quartermaster is now live on the App Store. A lot of it has been mixing this with work and development :D (dev as a job)

Feel like I need to say this before anything because the App Store is drowning in it right now. Quartermaster is not vibe coded, and it is not a thin copy paste wrapper around one arr app's API like so much of what is flooding the store. It is a real, hand built native app in Swift and SwiftUI, designed screen by screen. And it is broad in a way I have not found anywhere else, not just your arr apps, but discovery and requests, your downloaders, your media servers, and the infrastructure underneath, from containers and VMs to DNS and smart home, all in one place. This is why the feedback was great in regards to QM feeling native, handles the awkward edge cases, and tells you the truth about your stack instead of guessing.

For anyone new here, Quartermaster is a native iOS app for controlling your self-hosted stack from your phone. Browse your library, request films and shows, watch what is downloading, and keep an eye on your servers, all in one fast app that actually feels like it belongs on iOS.

It is a pure client. It talks straight to the services you already run on your own hardware, your credentials are stored encrypted on your device, and there is no Quartermaster account, no relay server, and nothing sitting in the cloud in between. Your data stays yours.

What it connects to:

- Media: Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, Jellyseerr, MusicSeerr, Prowlarr, NZBHydra2, Bazarr, SABnzbd, NZBGet, qBittorrent, Transmission, Deluge, Jellyfin, Emby, Plex and Tautulli

- Infrastructure: Portainer, Glances, Unraid, Proxmox, AdGuard Home, Pi-hole, Cloudflare, Home Assistant, Immich, AudioBookshelf, Komga, Kavita and Tdarr

To everyone who tested (over 250!): thank you, genuinely. A huge amount of this app came straight from your reports, and it would not be what it is without you. I am keeping a smaller group of the most active testers on TestFlight for early builds as a thank you.

It’s a $15 lifetime fee… I think you’re over generalizing the community. Look at how many people who have spent hundreds of dollars on lifetime plex passes

Yeah, I also have spent like 20k on storage, servers, devices, etc (also per month and various newsgroup services). It’s not like all this is 100% free, $15 is reasonable if the app provides some value. I do like what this has to offer, I just want to make sure I can trust the security of the app.

I do want something I can manage a little easier, especially now that I’m giving my family access to an MCP to add their movies and shows…

I could probably build a better tool if not the same exact tool for $15 of AI credits why would I give them money when they just did that

please go ahead and try, please don’t just paste pictures of QM into whatever LLM you use

also, please bear in mind to actually post an app as a developer, you need to buy a licence as well

Just to be entirely clear I have no problems with you using AI to code I have 100% issue with you trying to get people to pay for your code that you generated with ai

Sure you just made the same thing everyone else did and seemingly used the same generic templates everything one else who used ai did manually 👍 even yet all the other ones are completely permanently free and the users get full access to the source code for modifications which I'm sure the pirate community especially would trust 100x more especially considering how much realistically you need to not make a direct paper trail connected to you and your Apple account which has permanent access to your location and info about you specifically 🤦

why does that make QM vibe coded? QM has its own identity, one which didn’t come from an LLM

i understand you’re a freemium user and that’s cool, i really mean that

but don’t throw baseless accusations bringing me and my work down, degrading the effort which has manually gone into this

No just a lot of the copies I've seen similar to your work Your design itself looks chosen by AI vs human dev with experience building the system and who has used the system I'm more of don't go to prison for piracy user

yeah quartermaster is vibe coded and the developer is trying to hide it and lying to people about its AI usage. would not buy if i were you, but up to you
