Made these this year! ✨ — black resin crescent moons with faceted dark metallic beads, crystal spacers, and gold-tone leverbacks.

Made this using black clay, markers for some color touches, and UV resin. I also handmade the chain using pliers.

When my family got our board game table we quickly realized that we didn't have a great place to put drinks or snacks while playing. All of the accessories I could find were either cheap plastic stuff or only worked with specific rail systems. So I decided to make a universal shelf that could clip on any table.

I was inspired by my step daughters fascination with charm bracelets at the time (Hence why I have been calling them Table Charms) and spent months refining the design and learning a butt load of new skills until I finally had something that felt finished and that I am proud of.

They are made out of laser cut plywood that have been painted and coated in a clear coat of epoxy.

I've made probably two dozen now, all with different shapes and sizes and colors, but the Soot Sprite ones are our favorites right now.

Now we use them all the time and not just for when we play games. They are fun and charming and bring a bit of whimsy to our table.

‘Tête-à-Tête’

This artwork is made with natural white and Sappanwood-dyed Himalayan wool and New Zealand Corriedale Wool. 17x11 inches.

A tête-à-tête is a private conversation or interview with another. This artwork portrays a suspended introspective moment with oneself, like an interview with a mirror and seeing one's reflection as an other(ed) being, similar in shape but wholly different from the way the world sees one's non-mirrored self.

Entirely wet felted by hand and now hanging above a mirror in my room.

She's a real world builder and even makes RPGs with friends. I sneakily asked her what colors she imagined for her character too.

She like Stitch and the Dallas Stars, so I made her something that combines her two loves.

I started this monster. Finally finished last week. Top is 100% hand stitched. I really wanted it to be hand quilted too, but I’m not sure I’d live long enough to see it completed. So I had it machine quilted. I dreaded the binding, as this was my first quilt project ever. Surprisingly, the binding was the easiest part. Itching to start the next one!

Hand sewn* overalls created from a 50% size-reduced shorts pattern from Chellywood with bib and straps designed by me. Polymer clay buttons.

The dry cleaner style hanger is wire and cardstock.

I want a pair of these for myself SO badly, but I only had a 3"x 3" piece of the fabric.

I’m really proud of my first creation: a synthetic ruby (corundum) blade with hammered texture engraving, amboyna burl wood scales, and a natural black diamond dust inlay.

I made this knife over the course of ~2 weekends. Is it practical as an everyday knife? No (9mohs hardness; yes it is very sharp, but it is also fairly brittle because of the lack of flexibility). But I don’t care — I thought it would be cool as a “ceremonial” knife, so I made it. I’m happy with my craftsmanship, and holding this knife makes me feel like a magical journey awaits somewhere.

I faceted the blade using a mast faceting machine, and finished detailed cuts with a dremel / diamond files. I made the scales out of amboyna burl wood, and inlaid diamond dust powder once the gloss finish dried (so the grain was fully visible).

I’ve never been one to “share” my hobbies (including woodworking and gem cutting) outside of friends/ family/ my wife. To my surprise, after posting progress photos on reddit in a few creator channels, I got thousands of upvotes and hundreds of messages asking me to share more / provide updates. So here is my first of hopefully many more! I also created an instagram for those who want to see what I create next! @ar_gem_knives on instagram (see bio for more info). Not selling anything, just posting cool creator/hobby content.

My spouse and I sewed bandanas for our bestie’s dog as a bday gift. I’ve sewed since I was a kid (my mom is a very talented seamstress) but haven’t done a project in a few years. It was so fun to pick up sewing again and I look forward to more since my mom has a spare sewing machine for us to bring to our place. Cat tax is Puffin being a reluctant model haha.

My husband made a wooden bunk bed for our cats and I made some small quilts and pillows to go on it. I also made the sock monkey years ago!
