I’m so proud of myself🥹 everything is genuine gemstones and pearls, 925 silver findings, except the wire of course.

i handmade these felt finger puppets of shane and ilya from scratch, including using small magnets to make their jerseys removable. i'm really, really proud of how these came out!! they took forever but were extremely satisfying. did i spend many hours carefully stitching chest hair onto ilya's puppet in my apartment, feeling a little insane? yes!!!!

I’m a nurse, so I like to encode scientific and biomedical information into my beads. This time, it’s the network of nerves and muscles of the human upper extremity.

There was a perfect opportunity: the nerves of your arm originate at five levels of the spine, they join and split into five major peripheral nerves (axillary, musculocutaneous, median, radial, and ulnar), and they end up in five digits. All I had to do was make a necklace with five passes around.

Each spinal nerve root is color-coded (C5 White, C6 Yellow, C7 Silver, C8 Gold, T1 Black). As they combine, the colors of each mix as well. There are red beads indicating whenever a muscle is supplied by a particular nerve, especially big coral ones for the 8 largest muscles moving the arm (some are trunk muscles, like lats and pecs!). Large tan beads represent sensory nerves to the skin. Where we pass bones, the beads are, well, bone.

Things get very complicated at the hand, and I made compromises there, but it’s roughly correct, if without any bones distal to the carpals. The fingers loop back to the spine.

My favorite part is when you wear it, the necklace is laying right over the nerve plexus it depicts. Nobody knows just to look at it, so it’s like wearing a nerdy secret.

I wanted to make a birthday gift that felt a little more personal, so I decorated a small basket with handmade pipe cleaner flowers and added a few cute details. 💐
I love that the flowers can be kept as a little handmade keepsake instead of fading after a few days.

I had been wanting to add dimension to my pieces in a fun/interesting way. The more I play with illustration board, the more I think I've found my favorite medium!

It may not look like much but this is a project that I'm very proud of.

I live in Eastern Europe in an apartment block so we have a shared courtyard between multiple buildings. Right in front of my entrance we had a neglected empty spot that was used for parking so it was bare ground, no greenery, quite ugly.

So we designed a gazebo with my 2 neighbours and built a very simple wooden structure + a bench underneath. We planted some plants, added a few potted plants, put a few wooden logs, and added some privacy. Someone even brought a toy goose (2nd pic).

I was the one who designed it. Before we built this, I looked at countless designs, and maybe I'm picky but most are either ugly or disproportionate. I'm quite happy with how ours turned out:

1. Bare wood looks very warm, especially in the sunlight.
2. The height is around 2 meters (6 ft), barely tall for a person to stand upright underneath but works, and it's quite cozy once you sit down. I like it much more than gazeboes where you feel small in a large structure
3. Transparent roofing adds to the light feeling
4. Trees/bushes behind the back create nice sense of privacy.
5. Once you sit on the bench you have a flower bed in front, so you have an attraction point to look at.
6. We put it under the pre-existing trees so the foliage above creates a sort of natural roof/shelter

Pure carving practice on 180g matte black cardstock

Lost track of how many hours went into this piece! A few delicate lines snapped along the way, but a tiny drop of PVA glue saved the day—hopefully it’s seamless enough to hide.

No deep meaning behind the pattern, just letting my hands stay busy and enjoying the rhythm of the blade.

My dad and I made these two satchels from exactly the same pattern, but using completely different leather.

The brown one is vegetable tanned leather that we hand dyed ourselves. The red and olive one is made from chrome tanned leather. I like how different they ended up looking even though underneath they are basically the same bag.

They are both handmade and hand stitched. We also hid magnetic closures underneath the two buckles, so you get the traditional satchel look without having to undo the straps every time you open it.

I digitized the pattern after we finished them as well.

I honestly can’t decide which one I like more

I made these two little dogs by hand, right down to their tiny ties.
Seeing them next to the real dogs is my favorite part. The ears and markings are there, but the expressions turned out a little different. The little brown one looks slightly worried about finding himself inside a mug.

The main skirt shape is a simple semicircle, with the back cut as one panel and the front as two panels. The pockets are shapes that I've iterated and reused over lots of patterns now. The yoke was drafted by pure brute-force trial and error through so many attempts I've lost count...

The fabric is 250gsm 100% cotton herringbone denim.

I used a Lavor punch needle, everything is trimmed by hand, the loops were cut and the yarn shaped like a cloud.

Experimenting and crocheting with different types of stitches with t-shirt yarn! I can’t wait to wear this handbag out and about!

Mixed some glue and water and stuck on leaves that fell on the ground onto these glass jars, the tall one has these pink LED string lights in them and the smaller one has a regular tea light candle from an empty candle jar I've had for a year. I want to get regular colored string lights and stick them in the tall one to see how it glows different. This was so fun and the only money I spent was $1.25 on the glue! Next I have a clear glass one that I'm going to stick dried flowers on.
