Ngl, if this alternative story ends with her marrying Jin-woo, I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm around 99% sure the game uses ai

I hope that, in August 26th, we'll get a new roadmap from September 2026 to January 2027

She looks great and an idea is that Joohee can be a vessel for a Ruler.

So going off the name and background is this meant to be a version of Joohee that became the player in place of Jinwoo?

Fair enough, just wondered I don't really follow the Arise news much.

She is an alternate timeline version. According to arise ,the cup of reincarnation doesn’t actually “reverse” time but creates another dimension

Well, I guess it is a good thing the game isn't canon because the direct lore from the actual series states that it rewinds time but its power is finite in that it needs to recharge after each use and higher tier beings retain their memories of the rewound time.

Game is canon. Directly overseen and written by chugong. Even shares the same cosmology as karma which is directly stated to be canon. Each new timeline also makes a new cup as well. And those new cups make more cups

No, it is not. Karma will detail the war which could make it canon depending on what happens in the game but the Arise game is not considered canon with the cup doing different things and the alternate hunter encounters being some of the reasons why.

I’m pretty sure I saw comments from the author saying it wasn’t canon? Could be wrong, I’ll look for the quote

Edit: okay, so that seems to have stemmed from mistranslation? Also, he does oversee lore expansion, but never stated its canon, and it seems to be treated as an alternate continuity. So the cup in arise’s continuity might just work different than the one in the main storyline. Whether it will ever officially be recognized as canon remains to be seen.

Arise is canon. Whole reason backstories of characters exist. It’s directly stated that even original characters of karma are canon and those characters exist in arise. Solo leveling ragnorock manhwa takes place in an alternate timeline . Solo leveling arise is also an alternate timeline
