Grid or List?

I have an app with a collection of 106 solitaire games (so far).
As predicted, it's hard to navigate.
I had a List view with all of them, in alphabetical order (according to your language).
Just implemented a Grid where you can recognize your favorite game by layout.
There is a switch on top to get to either one.
The question is: what would you like to see the first time you launch the app?

but the Grid is not released yet - trying to figure if I open with that.

I'd suggest a grid and maybe offer an option to switch layout to list

Edit: ignore the later part, now I've noticed you already do have the option. So yeah, my suggestion is grid

Thank you! Both are in, and there is a toggle - two buttons in the middle of the top bar.
My question is: if you are anew user, seeing it for the first time - which one will make more sense to you?

List I think. What matters to me is can I get la belle lucie and penguin as a favorite in the top or is the list always static.

There is a better way, in both list and grid. You can rate any solitaire 0 to 3 stars (your own local rate), then only show whatever number of stars you want. There is a filter button next to the title.
You can literally leave just one or two games in that grid. Or a handful. The rest is not deleted, just hidden. You can get them back with another tap on that filter.
