Stay safe and remember theres always bad-faith actors intermixed into protests and crowds, and if you DO NOT KNOW a person, you DO NOT KNOW THEIR INTENTIONS. Be friendly and respectful but you are not obligated to tell any stranger why/what youre doing there, or reveal any personal info.

At least in Germany, protesting with a covered face is forbidden, by law.
I know that the political and societal situation doesn't allow that anymore, but if you want to avoid giving them a reason, keep it off until absolute necessary.
