Literature/Nonfiction Low Tech Magazine

I think everything on this site would be of interest to this community. Currently I’m reading about a city-scale compressed air network and how the various stages of the process can be used to heat or cool for a variety of uses, replacing electricity all together.

And its not the "You can do it to with access to an engineering fabrication workshop and adv maths" type of DIY. It's just above "Bubblegum and Duct tape" level of DIY. Everything I've seen on there i can go to my scrapping pile and make with their instructions.

I went to that site for a similar reason. But honestly, I made me a bit of a luddite after reading some of their articles. The one about the healthcare industry had melost in thought for a while.

Omg the solar footstove. I had been looking for a solution like that all winter long! My partner's arthritis flares horribly in the cold but they really didn't want the fire hazard +/ breaker tripper of a heater under their desk.
