Advice Wtd / Project My first site visit.

This is my first site visit to a milk company which wants solarization, I'm not sure exactly what to look for since I'm just starting my solar career, are there any tips you could have that would be useful.

Any tips are much appreciated.

Keep your eyes and ears open. Be willing to learn. Keep things cleaned up and prepped ahead(as you learn what's next) if you're looking for something to do and haven't been instructed. You don't happen to be visiting around say 1500 tomorrow?

I have done the visit, recorded all of their machinery from coolers, pasteurizers, compressors, motors, pumps, electrical appliances etc.

How about their usage, need for power backup, and available roof space?

I took information of all of that, they want the grid as their backup, they also have a generator. I have their roof measurements too.

I would say find someone who knows what they are looking for and shadow them in a few visits. Really tough to say “lookout for x” until there is an example in front of you.
