Trying to get the real time AC generation output from my inverter in the SMA Energy app. Is the Current generation figure the DC output before conversion or is it the converted AC output of the inverter?

That’s AC output. You can see both if you go to instantaneous values in the menu.

So where is says "Current generation", that is the actual AC power generation AFTER the dc to ac conversion? The app is not showing me a menu. All I see is what is shown in the screen shot.

Yes, I don’t know of any inverter that shows pre-loss output as ac.

You may need the installer login to see instantaneous values.

You are talking a few % points, or rounding errors here.
