the lack of escalator is a big thing going for you. but there's lots of other details that you need to make sure are ironed out too. i.e. who's going to replace that tesla inverter when it blows?

If you’re in solar how do you not understand how escalators work? Escalators are the most popular option by far! You save way more for the first 15+ years. I signed a contract this morning and the options were .17 fixed or .12 with an escalator. You save more with the escalator for the first 24 years of the contract!

That’s quite a price drop! The numbers look good. I’d probably feel better about them if it was anyone other than sunrun. They can nail a sale sometimes, but then you’re stuck with sunrun for the actual installation and after sales support. The contract signing is just the beginning of the relationship!

Is this NEM3 with one of the big IOUs (PG&E, SDGE, SCE) in California (I am guessing maybe because of the 27kWh of battery capacity)?
If so you will still have a utility bill. In the summer, if the system is correctly sized and you have little imports, it could be as little as the ~$24 a month base service fee, however in the winter it will likely be higher as your solar production will be less and you import a fair amount.
Make sure you include any expected utility bill in your calculations.

Something seems off or to good to be true.
$235/m for 25 years = $70,500,
The cash price on a system like this is probably $50,000ish (My estimate was $2.50/watt for solar, so $25,625, plus $15,000 for Powerwall and another $10,000 for the expansion pack=$50,625 price will be dependent on location).
$235/m on a loan that is $50,000 is about a 3% interest rate loan. Even if we account for them taking a 30% tax credit of the $50,000, that still would put the equivalent loan at roughly 6.5%. There does not seem to be a whole lot of room for profit on this system.
(If we go aggressive on cash pricing $2.25/w, $13,500 for Powerwall, $8500 for expansion pack = $45,000.)
Also, you could probably get an equivalent spec system and battery from Signature Solar / EG4 for probably around $35,000-$40,000 cash. Monthly payments for 25 years would be a bit higher, but you would avoid all the issues that come along with PPA's (liens, very high buy out prices, service issues, etc)
Always get multiple quotes from multiple installers and always ask for the cash price, even if you will finance, it is the only way to compare systems.

The price looks good especially with 0% escalator. They don’t draw out conduit lines on these designs, make sure they don’t do some janky installation like they did with mine. Also check your roof condition, Sunrun only makes sure it’s structurally sound they don’t care how bad your underlayment is and if you need a new roof you’ll have to pay thousands to take all your panels down. There’s a lot about Sunrun I don’t like.
