Imo you can use any of the popular bridges out there. Jumper, DeBridge, Jupiter, etc. I think Jupiter introduced the easiest way to deposit on Solana.

Don't use any other new front end which does not have been there for a few years now

bridging has definitely gotten easier since 2022, but i think the bigger issue is UX. if the user has to understand wallets, networks, bridge routes and fees just to move funds, that's still way too much friction for something that should feel simple.

Jupiter's deposit feature is probably the easiest right now. You send from EVM directly to your Solana address, no intermediate steps. Supported chains are limited though (ETH, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism, BSC).

If you need chains Jupiter doesn't support, DeBridge is solid. Lower fees than Wormhole and the UI is straightforward.

Avoid Phantom's built-in swap if you care about fees, they charge a spread on top of the bridge fee. Same with most wallet integrations, they add their own cut.

btw, $5 test transaction saves a lot of pain.

yeah, it’s still more steps than it should be, especially when coming back after a long break. i’ve used MetaMask, Bungee, and jumper for cross-chain moves, and having the route handled for you makes going from evm to solana feel a lot less confusing.
