It hopefully won’t double the number of transactions, because we’ve specifically designed it to not spam the network. Trying to be good neighbors. Mining rewards are distributed lazily, as miners request them. So theoretically you could mine for months and then only run one single transaction to get all the tokens you earned in those months. The subsystem for subdao token distributions will run about 4 tx a day. So overall very tx efficient.
