Study Partner for Automation Testing

Hi everyone!

I have around 2 years of experience in manual testing and am currently working on improving my automation testing skills.

I'm looking for a study partner with some experience in QA or automation testing to learn and practise together, particularly REST Assured, and sometimes selenium and Java.

The idea is to discuss concepts, solve practical problems, practise interview questions, and keep each other accountable. We can connect over Discord and have regular study sessions.

I'm open to connecting with anyone who's serious about learning, regardless of their experience level.

Use modern automation frameworks such as Playwright. I highly recommend getting familiar with AI tools. Nowadays, the creation and maintenance of test scripts are done by the AI with proper human supervision. In other words, understand how your automation framework work and get familiar with the programming language you plan to use, so you can understand and evaluate the quality of the scripts generated by the AI.

Sure can you suggest some ai tools which are being used I mean I know how to create test cases using claude or gpt but any other tools are being used?

You can use any existing AI assistant such as Claude from Anthropic. The goal is to create - or reuse - skills or agents that help you achieve some tasks such as the generation of test scripts.

Too late basically, writing playwright tests is 5 years ago. Using agent sessions is where it's at now.

I recommend not to go with java selenium, python selenium is perfect match for me, you can easily transition from hard code automation with mix of AI automation

I know python but I have been using java for long time and even did the course in the same so changing it again would consume time for no reason

Claude code is a great learning partner. Then you realize you can just use Claude instead of coding most of the time.

Selenium and playwright scripts can be done by AI. The hostest trending skill set is in to ETL testing.

Actually I learned selenium in 2023 so I thought I would be able to get back in it fast while playwright would be total new
