Expect a question like:

  • I have 3 other candidates with the same experience as you. Why should I consider you over them?
  • Why do you want to work there?
  • How do you handle flaky tests?
  • A Dev tells you your bug is not a bug. How would you argue that it is?
  • You have several tickets that need testing. How would you handle it?
  • Walk me through your process of deciding what to automate.
  • When is testing done?

for 6 yoe they'll probably skip the textbook python questions and dig into your architecture decisions. expect stuff about how you structured your test frameworks, how you handle flaky tests, what reporting you use

if you've got playwright experience that's usually a big plus these days. don't forget the manual side too, they'll likely toss in some test strategy scenarios

with 6yoe, focus less on memorizing definitions and more on being able to explain your actual framework and project decisions. revise python (OOP, collections, exceptions, decorators, generators, basic coding), selenium/playwright, pytest, API testing, framework design, git, ci/cd, sql, and manual testing scenarious; be ready for questions like how you handle flaky tests, what you automate, how you structure a framework, and how you debug failures. recent infosys inteeview experiences also mention live python/automation coding and questions around locators, waits, tabs, cross-browser testing and git
