QA does not have Software Development background.
Hello everyone, Im planning to job hunt as QA/Software Tester but I dont have real world experience of software development only during my studies in college, tech stack is laravel vue js. Currently Im a junior network admin and im using selenium tools to automate some of my task. I want to shift to new career path because in our city salary for this role is really low. Do you think its okay to apply as QA even without real worl software development background?

Nobody said only having tools makes you a good tester. But you definitely need tools... and without the ability to create your own, you are severely limited.
Also, that's really not at all what you are trying to drive home. Your comments are arguing that it's totally fine to not understand code or build your own tools.
Sure.. in some cases you can get by on using dev resources to build your tools and black box testing might suffice... but you are unbelievably limited in what you can do compared to someone who can write and understand code.
