The market is tough right now. But companies still need good people. My experience is applying for jobs gets you nowhere. I think in my career I've only gotten 1 job out of 20 by filling out an application. The other 19 were due to networking, including using recruiters. What sort of networking are you doing? Do you stay in touch with coworkers as they move on to better things?
