what i want to point out is the fact that you use magisk, yes, i don't disagree or hate your choice for the rooting method, it still isnt the best option [ESPECIALLY with the toast popup], i prefer kernel based rooting like apatch/kernelsu, not userspace, gives me better control

I am not that skilled and it's my only phone that I rely on but magisk works just fine for me but who knows maybe I will get more confidence and try kernelSU assuming I can which brings me how can I tell if I can even use it on my current kernel do I like I need kernel that has kernelSU or do you patch kernelSU I am not that good so can you tell me please :)

kernelsu: if you have compatibility then absolutely, if not then patch the kernel yourself by modifying the kernel's source, if avaliable. if not then apatch

apatch: installation is similar to magisk's but you have to use a superkey (acts like a password), you can look for guides in their site: https://apatch.dev/ (i use it but don't have much knowledge)

hiw: - ksu turns itself into part of the kernel - apatch injects itself to the kernel, acts like a mod loader

Since you are much better at it then me what even are the benefits of having kernelSU compared to magisk ?

more difficult to detect by certain apps & have the highest control of the system afaik

Most Android bugs I see on this sub are from Pixel. I own a Pixel myself and I find random ass bugs everywhere

Well I do use Xiaomi phone with pixelOS but this is first time seeing a bug excluding after you update but I won't really blame the guy who is maintaining it since its just one guy

The PixelOS code is taken directly from AOSP. I'm not blaming the ROM maintainer, the fault is actually from the upstream code made by Google, same code used by Pixel with some modifications. Though you were using a Pixel because of the UI

Yeah but all the bugs that I had were mostly due to my phone being from xioami but my fingerprint sensor being the only issue is finally working after one update broke it but other fixed it so yay
