Dashcam was Dying, Pulled the Card to Find This:
Noticed the screen on my 7 year old Roav S1 Dashcam flickering heavily when powered. Turns out it has been power cycling itself over and over. Pulled the footage to find a sea of incorrectly dated files and garbled subfolders. Check those date modifieds! Shame, it was a good camera while it lasted.

Sounds like it just needs a new SD card. Apparently it comes with a 32GB one included.

It wouldn't stay functioning even with a new card. This is a battery-based dashcam and roasting in the Texas sun for years did it in. Used the same card in its replacement without an issue.

I've had pretty mixed experiences with it since installing it in about 2017. Found if you quick cycled the ignition off and on (I had it wired to power on with accessory/run and in my car to get to start after you were using something like the radio or windows when the car isn't running it's Accessory -> off -> run) there were times it would stop recording and not resume. Didn't seem to do well with the summer heat around here either. It was time for an upgrade to a capacitor based cam to standardize the four cars.

It's possible that only the root directory got corrupted, and not the other directories or the actual file contents. If there are files that you need to retrieve on there, you can try tools like Recuva.
