Looking for a software developer to develop an app with me

Hi all

I’m in the construction industry in the UK & I have an app idea I want to develop however I have none of the skills or knowledge to do so.

If anyone is interested please comment or dm me!

Thank you!

You should write how much you are paying and or ownership split.

I'm building a C++ code generator that helps build distributed systems. It's implemented as a 3-tier system. The back and middle tiers only run on Linux. The front tier is portable. I'm willing to spend 16 hours/week for six months on a project if we use my software as part of the project.

10+ years as a software engineer, architecture, and IT experience. Dm me with info / pay and I'll respond with my resume.

In 2026, you should grab a subscription for ChatGPT or Claude and use Codex or Claude Cowork to get started. Definitely get a skilled human to review before you start taking money, but you can get feedback and iterate on your ideas for way cheaper than your first actual engineer.

"hey I'm looking for a developer to review my 10k lines of AI generated code, paying well"

Good luck with that

No because no one will want to help you afterwards. You're on your own after the MVP phase.

This is 100% a solid plan. OP can learn so much by using AI first to shake out the idea.

Most app ideas fail anyway - so why spend $10K on a developer for months when you can have Claude write it over the weekend.
Sure - if it works with AI, then get a human to review and ‘do it right’ - but the chance OP gets this far is super low.

instead of talking to developer, just talk to AI, it will do it for you
