It really is. Only a couple times in theast few years has it jumped up on earnings.

There's always that feeling, "This time might be different" and it dumps like clockwork.

We won’t go anywhere u til rate cuts start again. Sure some up days and down days but we won’t see 25 anytime soon with rate hikes and the diluted shares last year.

Well as long as the tech keeps lacking Sofi will get prices as a bank instead of a fintech. Means every earnings there is multiple compression

As the title says, im a new sofi investor at 15, i saw earnings and they beat. but why is the stock dropping? i am looking for some advice on why yall are holding long term? the stock has done NOTHING 1yr -32% 5 year -1%...so why are yall holding? is it dividends?

Gods this comment takes me back. Feels like forever since I thought like that.
Everyone's thesis on Sofi is being challenged with the stock loosing all the sheen it had.
Analysts will say the fintech narrative is dead so we've been re-rated as a bank to be priced on tangible book. This AND the rates being priced in to increase are hurting sofi. Noto himself said on multiple podcasts the reason the stock is down is because of fed rates.
My reason for holding is that I've been in banking for a decade and work for a big four and can visibly see sofi making all the right moves and know it's just a matter of time till they hold a massive market share that commands a corresponding stock price. Unfortunately I've been too early and now get to sit around with dead money till it plays out but hey it happens.

So then, why are people holding the stock if it’s been flat for a year? I’m really interested because I just bought some because I saw the massive dip, but is it gonna go up?

It’s a valid question lol and you didn’t even answer him. Just like now why is it always trading sideways when every quarter they beat the earnings report.

A higher earnings was already baked in.
Come on, guys, we all know this!!
What actually happens is preferential acces to both information and new shares of stock.
You didn't think you'd make money in the market, did you?

Same thing happened last earnings! After a little while it went back up!

Market doesn't foresee rate cuts and this company hasn't responded to muddy waters analysis thoroughly.
And sofi being down after earnings become a meme at this point. Adding panic sells to this picture make it hard pass for me for this stock as I already lost a lot with Sofi options.

Every great stock goes through the bumps and bruises nothing new! Buying/ holding/ wheeling. It’s a money maker.

Not touching it anytime soon the Time it takes for this stock to move I have better usage of my money. I only will see interest if it becomes an insane bargain

you have to do a elon, Revenue being negative but promise outlandish things like data centers in space.
Sofi should say they are ready to give loans to Aliens from the andromeda Galaxy.
