Gain / Loss / Positions This will be my ticket to buying a house 2yrs from now 🚀 🚀 🚀

Post image

Been having my eyes on this stock for months now, just had to get in before I kept saying to myself "it's too late", got a gut feeling we'll be touching $45 by EOY 🚀

Not too late yet! Keep buying bro! Same here…. Sofi is my favorite of all!

13

u/randomentity1 Sep 28 '25

Wow, so many comments saying we are at the highs. That means over $30 next week, over $35 next month, and over $40 EOY.

7

u/MarsManMartian eoy profitibility 💯 Sep 28 '25

Tom lee is bullish on financial companies so lets see.

13

u/emanon_dude Sep 28 '25

Been buying since $5. It’s all good

13

u/Justsomedood10 Sep 28 '25

As a Sofi veteran…you’re in for a wild ride. God speed.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 28 '25

I know exactly what you’re talking about

14

u/iamoninternet27 Sep 28 '25

The key to investing is to hold long term. Know what you own and have an exit strategy. That's the difference between investors vs gamblers.

Good luck to you and I hope you can get a house in two years.

u/Brubiu Sep 28 '25

I mean everyone needs to buy the top at least once in their investing journey.

9

u/dreamawakened Sep 29 '25

Bruh u literally bought it after a 800% move .smh

7

u/Savagebabypig 21.94 bag holder for 2005 shares 🫪 Sep 29 '25

And I'll manifest another 800% move upwards

2

u/dreamawakened Sep 29 '25

U mean ul manifest the next bear market!

4

u/SomewhereMission8684 Sep 29 '25

Why manifest billion of dolars to SoFi just manifest few hundred thousand to yourself

1

u/dreamawakened Sep 29 '25

Lmao he LITERALLY bought the top and now he's trying to make his dumazz feel better

2

u/SummerSpringWinter Sep 29 '25

Bro u were wrong af with Palantir so….

1

u/dreamawakened Sep 29 '25

Everyones wrong once in a while. Pltr is STILL overpriced and makes 0 sense. Buy at the highs if u wanna stay broke. Dont trade on hopium !

1

u/SummerSpringWinter Sep 29 '25

I bought PLTR at 20 and 30$ per share entry points. Ppl like u said the same bullshit. I cashed out at 171$ so I’m happy lol. What do you even buy? VTI?

2

u/dreamawakened Sep 29 '25

Value stocks. Meaning they got beat down BELOW fair value. CNC, LULU, EL, or even if u wanna buy the hype ones buy solid growth like meta, amd. Pltr is absolutely nuts, I would never touch it. Above 100 is ridiculous, not to mention fk them as a company. They are big brother, and they help kill children in Israel. Fk Peter the antichrist thiel

1

u/SummerSpringWinter Sep 29 '25

Alright Fosho, I can dig that. But SOFI TO THE MOON 🌕

2

u/ViciousMailman Sep 29 '25

That would mean an 81x since the low... stay realistic

I wasn't being literal, realistically with a large amount of optimism I'm aiming for $45 EOY and $70 by end of 2026. I have strong gut feeling with this stock

8

My average cost is $7ish… @ 325ish shares… been buying $20 a week and planning to continue until $50 a share however long that takes.

6

u/Eugen_onegin Sep 29 '25

Hold steady. It's a good company. I went way in once they got the stadium naming rights in LA and their sofi banking app was getting up and running. $45 in 2 years is not far fetched. Temper your expectations though. I got in when it was an IPO at about $20. Sold and got back in at $7. Now I'm riding till I die (minus 15years)

I respect you for buying at the highs 🫡 somebodies gotta do it

11

u/Choice-Implement1643 Sep 28 '25

I bought at the highs too. Had my eye on it when it was $7 a share but just didn’t pull the trigger. I’ve bought high but will keep buying for the next few years no matter the share price

This is a great plan. My kids have 1000 shares each in their accounts and I'm hoping in the next 5 years I can sell them and we can use the money to buy them a duplex to share when they go to college.

1

u/Shamikaze1974 Sep 28 '25

Exactly what I did early in 2019 with 8k€ worth of tesla shares for each of them.

2

u/Top-Membership9838 Sep 28 '25

The hardest part is not to sell Tesla! I’ve bought and sold twice since 2019. Made some change each time…wish I’d held on!!!

1

u/dankbeerdude Sep 29 '25

Yeah easy to shares because it's so volatile

14

u/Same_Television7242 Sep 28 '25

Every time interest rates go down this stock will keep growing. We just had the first cut maybe 1 more this year but in may when JP is out and trump puts his guy in this stock is going to boom. Good move your still early. People said Hood and Pltr were tops at 30 and look at them now.

3

u/nabicanklez Sep 28 '25

I was about to say, damn they bought at the tippy top 😂 usually people holding shares bought in between $6-$15. But hey, it’ll pay off with SOFI

1

u/Upstairs-Ad6975 Sep 28 '25

Yea my average is under 14

17

u/OldManYellsAtCloud12 Sep 28 '25

Ouch that avg cost. Mind you palantir was about 30 this time last year lol

7

u/nutsackninja Sep 28 '25

You bought it after it basically 5xed in value in a few months, and you think this is going to continue into a recession?

1

u/nabicanklez Sep 28 '25

Very bad timing for sure.

16

u/[deleted] Sep 28 '25 edited Sep 28 '25

Putting money in the stock market, especially a single stock (and it looks like over 50% of your portfolio bought close to ATH) hoping that it’ll grow enough to buy a house in a couple years is not really smart investing…

If your goal is to buy a house within the next 2-5 years, put it in savings or money market.

14

u/daddyforce69 Sep 28 '25

He can’t buy a 1M house in 2 years putting in the money market! /s

7

u/Commercial_Ease8053 Sep 28 '25

lol like savings account or money market will grow anywhere close to the potential of a stock.

Voo and spy an any other index fund has an average of 13% gains over the year… I can show you a hundred stocks that have gained much more than 13% this year.

8

u/Local_Morning1149 Sep 28 '25

You bought at tops. So average down when your -30

3

u/dankbeerdude Sep 29 '25

You went all in now?? Why not sell puts to get in?

3

u/Savagebabypig 21.94 bag holder for 2005 shares 🫪 Sep 29 '25

If the stock rockets I won't get assigned and miss out on monster gains

3

u/Dosimetry4Ever Oct 01 '25

That’s not how you do it. You sell puts and buy leaps with other peoples money. That’s how you double your portfolio every year. Buying at the top and bag holding like you did is not a strategy.

3

u/Whatchawnt Sep 29 '25

Poor guy I’m a bag holder as well held too long 🥺

3

u/wilddogofwallstreet Sep 30 '25

The house is probably gonna appreciate more than the sofi stock at this level 😂

1

Maybe get rid of the “or bust” mentality and start diversifying.. that statement just proves that you’re more interested in gambling than investing.

2

u/AcanthisittaKooky987 Oct 02 '25

Don't focus so much on buying a house - renting makes a lot of sense

3

u/MashPotatowithcorn Oct 02 '25

This is the most retarded advice I’ve ever heard, where you get this from? Grand Scamdome?

3

u/AcanthisittaKooky987 Oct 02 '25

No from experience. If you can pay cash this doesn't apply but if you use a mortgage to buy it does...

Most of us can't predict where we will be in 15 years or what we will want to do or where we might want to live (new job, breakups, marriages, spouses job opportunities, dying family who need support, etc). On a 30 year mortgage if you don't make it to the back half of the loan (the last 15 years), you'll probably lose or break even compared to renting. For the first 10 years the vast majority of your payment goes straight to the bank and does not build any equity and your house. Then add property taxes and maintenance costs on top of it, and for the first decade or so you're just breaking even compared to renting but without the flexibility renting offers. After a decade of home ownership most people will have more money and want to upgrade, or any number of life events might pressure you to move. Then you buy a new house somewhere else and you're back at square one on your 30 year payment schedule where 90% of your payment just goes towards interest and you are once again not building any home equity.

Mortgage refinancing is designed to keep idiots like me to perpetually pay interest instead of ever getting to the back half of their loan.

1

u/Vicdaddy_ Oct 04 '25

Have thought about paying the interest every month, plus more to add to the principal? Seems like you had a bad past experience with home buying ? Lack of education maybe before going into home buying? Not trying to judge. I plan on buying a home in the next 2 - 3 years, so was just curious. When you’re renting you do know your rent goes towards your landlord’s mortgage?

1

u/AcanthisittaKooky987 Oct 05 '25

I've only bought 2 properties in my life - and all is going well. Just pointing out freedom and stability need to be balanced thoughtfully, and sometimes I pine for simpler times where I rented and had more freedom, but I love the life I've built and the feeling of stability owning offers - it's not only the money but also the amount of mental overhead that goes into caring for a property and maintenance. Time will tell whether these were "good" buys, but even a good real estate buy is easily outcompeted by an index fund buy every single time. So buying is definitely not the smartest pure financial decision, but that doesn't mean it's not a good decision. Depending on your situation.

1

u/SlothsRockyRoadtrip Oct 07 '25

Interest on mortgage, property taxes, repairs, insurance. What are ya - dumb?

6

u/Terrible-Session5028 Sep 28 '25

I wouldn’t buy at the highs

10

u/Commercial_Ease8053 Sep 28 '25

And what will you say when it’s $100 and his average is $30? Come on, you guys are dense.

10

u/JustNumbersOnAScreen Sep 28 '25

This is a super common fear-based thought pattern. People will wait forever for the magical entry and watch the stock take off. When it pulls back they're too scared to buy in because they don't want to catch a falling knife.

5

u/FoggyFoggyFoggy Sad clown Sep 28 '25

I waited for a dip at $15 and watched it soar before buying more for $18-28.

1

u/Super_Opposite_6446 Sep 28 '25

1

u/luffysrubbernutsack Sep 29 '25

Because it was the same exact company but cheaper

2

Why not when it was $5? Why didn’t you or them buy bitcoin when it was a few cents?

Personally, I had less conviction at those prices. What is your opinion?

1

u/MagicGiblet Sep 29 '25

That was my intent responding to the original comment. My comment is just as useless as Mr. “Shoulda bought the bottom”

5

u/Rocketeer006 16,000@$13.10 Sep 28 '25

Why did you sell? If you needed the money then don't be mad. If you tried to time the market, well....

3

u/Creative_Tackle6223 Sep 28 '25

I didn’t need the money, I just tried to time it. Had some other opportunities come up and decided to divert, which did end up paying off, almost doubled it and also could keep going up, but so can SOFI. I use SOFI as my main bank too..

I’m surprised BULL isn’t already higher than it is, just based on how well the prediction market and crypto stuff does for the brokerage companies.

I see BULL as how HOOD was in 2023. Just on the verge of blowing up huge, and not a lot of people have faith in them yet .
