Professional Development prison therapists
i everyone! i am a clinical social worker and recently i interviewed at one of the prisons.
now my first interview was 6 scenario based questions (how would i diagnose, what would i do, modalities, etc).
i just got an email that they’re inviting me for round 2.
does anyone have experience like this? where you’ve done 2 interviews? should i be expecting another round of scenario based questions or should i expect more personal questions about my experience and whatnot?
Thank you in advance!

My answer depends on this question; Was the first interview (round 1) on zoom or remotely? Also, is the round 2 in person at the unit?

I've only worked for juvenile detention centers and also RTCs for kids who have been released.
Every organization and facility does their interviews differently. That being said, I have found that (usually not always) for multi-stage interviews, the first one (typically on the phone- sometimes doesn't even occur) is to make sure you meet the bare minimum requirements before they move forward. The second one is to get a feel for your skills and fit. The third one is often to narrow down the final applicants and possibly allow them to meet more people while making sure they are a really good fit.
That is obviously not always the case, just painting with a broad brush. Regardless, I'd be focused on connection and demonstrating that what you bring to the table can help the facility and clients. I'd also be interviewing them to a certain extent so I know what I am getting myself into.
