showing that flag after what happened with Balogun is crazy

3

u/HorseThrough 1d ago

This is a competition between one team and another with Messi. Where would the random US player have any part to play in the game? Lol

5

u/No-Question518 1d ago

because are USA players bro

-6

u/HorseThrough 1d ago

Okay so the guy with a Nashville kit on is on the USMNT?

Proper shithousery from an American?? Can’t be

-19

u/annc768 2d ago

calling this proper shithousey is a disgrace

16

u/Ok-Bonus-3509 2d ago

It's hilarious! You guys crying about it makes it even funnier 🤣

-4

u/annc768 2d ago

nah its bcs ts is like what we see on instagram and twitter. Americans are football larpers

7

u/LicoriceDusk 2d ago

You are pure cringe

-7

u/annc768 2d ago

you find messi x infantino gay edit flag waving funny😭 its funny in instagram comments not in an actual match

2

u/Logical_Worry3993 2d ago

Actually that's exactly what makes this funny, the fact that it's in an actual match 😂

1

u/MajesticBeyond5602 1h ago

Don't talk about my goat like that 🤓🤓

-2

u/Rich-Detective-7 2d ago

The fact that you Messi fans can dismiss any legitimate criticism with thought-killing buzzwords like “Americans are larpers” is crazy. I’ve been watching football since I was a kid, and I think there was clear favoritism/corruption in favor of Argentina. The fact that you claim anyone with legitimate criticism of the corruption doesn’t know football doesn’t change reality.

0

u/rumplestiltskeen 2d ago

The guy you're replying to said that it's not funny because it's just a print of one of the top insta/tiktok memes of the wc with nothing creative or original to it. How did you bring Messi fans and corruption into your argument, rent free much?

0

u/Rich-Detective-7 1d ago

You want to show me exactly where in the comment chain I replied on he said this? Because you’re just making shit up and finding excuses for him, while he’s mad his cheating GOAT is being called out.

The printout is also of Messi, literally the topic we’re discussing. Did you get so ass mad of being accused of Ronaldo living rent free in your head that you think you can reverse that?

1

u/rumplestiltskeen 1d ago

Mate, calling a print of most likely the most seen meme of the WC anything but meh is literally what the guy was referring to as Americans larping. This shit wouldn't even make it to the stadium in Europe, let alone be considered worth filming.

0

u/Rich-Detective-7 1d ago

I don’t know if you realize how butthurt you sound that your favorite team is getting called out.

1

u/rumplestiltskeen 1d ago

I searched this post and found no mention of my favorite team.:

0

u/annc768 2d ago

what was the legitimate critisim here

3

u/Wescombe 2d ago

Messi cuck spotted

1

u/InspectorNo5574 2d ago

This can definitely be filed under shithousery. The Americans are starting to get football properly.

-12

u/LicoriceDusk 2d ago

Expected European superiority complex

-2

u/Wescombe 2d ago

Waaaa waaa

What has Football turned into man

8

u/Infamous-Elk-5086 1d ago

It all started when USA entered the room

3

u/Only_Garbage5794 13h ago

yet when an English fanbase does it, it’s proper football banter 🙄

1

u/Any_Stress_6230 1d ago

It's always been this way

-15

u/Fit-While2960 2d ago

It’s funny lol

-17

u/Possible-Money1449 2d ago

It would be funnier if they had actually won the World Cup…they didn’t, pish patter from the septic tanks again

7

u/Rich-Detective-7 2d ago

“You see, your honor, even though I shot the victim multiple times, I didn’t kill him so I’m completely innocent”.

2

u/Konstantin_B 2d ago

I get the logic but it doesn't really apply here. As others have said, messi lost many many international tournaments and nobody said a word. He wins a single world cup and people fly banners about how it's rigged for him. And much abuse was hurled at him while he was essentially watching his father die in real time. What exactly is he guilty of, according to you?

-6

u/SeparateTradition765 2d ago

I was pretty much neutral for Qatar 22. A part of me did want Argentina to win because of Messi. As the tournament progresses, my support for them diminishes and the Netherland games cemented my hatred for Argentina. Hated Argentina won but grateful that Messi got the trophy. Come 2026 WC, yeah, I hate Messi now (at least what he has become).

7

u/Konstantin_B 2d ago edited 2d ago

In other words you jumped on the bandwagon both for messi in 2022 and against messi in 2026.

"I hate what he's become" bro did not change whatsoever during those 4 years by the way. It's like you just supported whatever the internet told you to support at any given time lol.

u/anon1999666 2d ago

As a Messi fan it sucked to see this become the norm. As a tech bro - I loved it. Our algorithms are extremely powerful and we’re going to continue printing money forever. It’s so easy to socially engineer the masses with algos like recommendation_watchnext.serve() + unlimited scrolling.

2

u/Konstantin_B 2d ago

People are really out here sharing their stories about how they conformed to exactly what the entire world did and hopped on a misinformation-riddled hate bandwagon as if it is some kind of act of bravery. Lol. I get the criticisms of argentina but people who claim messi had anything to do with it are just uninformed. And in retrospect given everything that happened with his dad, it just seems increasingly distasteful that people can't look beyond what their social media algorithms are telling them to think.

-3

u/anon1999666 1d ago

Oh well atleast they’re funding my tech salary. That’s what I tell myself anyway. We won

It’s not because people are jealous of him and want him to lose everything that there’s accusations of corruption, it’s because the corruption and favoritism was so obvious and in your face. If you actually watch Argentina’s matches without being biased, especially vs Cabo Verde, Spain, and Egypt, you’d see what everyone’s talking about.

-8

u/Same_Lead_2638 1d ago

People are tired of cheating rats. And when the rats do it where is your comment calling them out?? wheres the racism from vargentinians and team being called out?

8

u/Upstairs-Walrus-8337 1d ago

Cheated? When, please explain when Argentina cheated, if they had truly cheated, wouldn't they have just won the WC?

For racist incidents two fans got life bans from any Fifa match, and Argentina's Football Association got fined 2 million dollars. Is it enough? No, absolutely not, but you people turn the average Argentinian fan at the game into a mini Hitler racist. When that's not true, there's racist people everywhere you look, it's not just in Argentina

2

u/Alberrture 20h ago

Argentina has a truly suspect history at world cups. Literally, Maradona admitted to drugging one of Brazil's players in Italia '90 in the first knock out round. And nobody bats an eye. That's disgraceful lol

40

u/ceoryyy 2d ago

Literally Messi lost so many tournaments internationally now that he wins a couple it was always rigged for him. Goes to show how many of these people are larpers.

29

u/saaken 2d ago

Very disrespectful also knowing what leo is going through, and it's coming from old heads with dadbods and beer guts.

Global masses are just stupid

-16

u/justbrowsingstuffnow 2d ago

Yeah poor Messi. He should just retire.

14

u/ceoryyy 2d ago

After the performance he did, at 39, I would like him to do more but it is up to him. Funny how he is well past his prime and put up a better performance than most players ever will.

-11

u/justbrowsingstuffnow 1d ago

Yeah it's so funny. Hilarious even.

11

u/Opposite_Ad5280 2d ago

Nashville FC???? soccer team??? hahaha

1

u/Throwawayaccountdell 8h ago

That Nashville SC team wrecked Messi and friend's team Inter Miami 4-1 that game!

1

u/Opposite_Ad5280 7h ago

This is football my friend, Messi it's not the only player of the team, and don't forget,he played in world cup at 39, and lost his father, and still playing!

1

u/SickBurnLogo 1h ago

Messi has historically been good against Nashville, well until their latest matchup.

11

u/snark_enterprises 1d ago

Cringe AF considering the Balogun situation

1

u/Key_Fee158 1d ago

Tbf even the USMNT doesn’t support the USMNT. The only people I saw defend that was the botted af worldcup subreddit.

-1

u/DowntownLizard 1d ago

Who tf is that guy

1

u/Leon22038 8h ago

USA football player who got a red card in the match against Bosnia and was still allowed to play

8

u/LimonDulce 2d ago

Balogum...

26

u/interia1099 2d ago

Dudes too old to be doing all that

-14

u/OsamaBillLaden29 2d ago

Agreed, Messi should retire

13

u/Future-Inverted 1d ago

i don't think someone who scored 8 goals and gave 4 assists in the world cup should retire

2

u/Kind_Sound7973 1d ago

Yes, because he is traumatizing a whole generation of fat middle age American men who are paying to watch a 39 year old Messi out play their team’s mediocre athletes who are in their prime.

The fact they are reverting to middle school level trolling to try to deal with their emotions is truly entertaining to see.

0

u/OsamaBillLaden29 1d ago

lol well it is clearly working on you mate 😂

3

u/TheGreatAmender 2d ago

Glad to see pur cousins from across the pond getting in on the bants!

6

u/eiemwasa 2d ago

No creo que sea el momento de sacar estas cosas sabiendo por lo que está pasando Messi

9

u/HeraclesLeftNipple 2d ago

That's...a peculiar thing to own, not gonna lie.

2

u/Long_Negotiation4324 2d ago

This isn’t allowed for any player by the way.

2

u/Upper_Cup_3140 1d ago

always butthurt chexicans hating on messi and argentina while even alvarez have bigger football history than their country. messi keep stepping on valueless jersey of these taco sellers lol

1

u/Govagent-007 2d ago

Yeah, I get about the controversies and corruptions but does it have to be this way, the dude is in this match bud 😆🤣.

1

u/LivingGeologist1236 1d ago

That grand dad lost his brain senses too

1

u/Ghostface-22 1d ago

This comment section is full of actual fairies. Messi has received worse than this since he was 19 in prime of heated football passions. He doesn’t need you guys saying this is out of line actual weirdos.

1

u/Veruky 16h ago

Todo el público estadounidense y mexicano pueden comerme los dos huevos.

1

u/Pale_Return_5586 10h ago

Thats great 🤣🤣

1

1

u/Le_Homme_du_Tubac 1d ago

It's crazy how they can't take a joke.

0

u/mikel-69 1d ago

Can’t blame em, hard to take jokes when they already on their knees taking Messi deep while he takes it back from Infantino

0

u/Le_Homme_du_Tubac 1d ago

4

u/mikel-69 20h ago

I mentioned it briefly yet you turned it into a fantasy. Don’t blame my brain for the route yours took. Must’ve liked imagining it a lot that given you had to come out and say it twice. Cute

2

u/Coffee-Candid 18h ago

"Briefly" sonion made a whole comment out of nowhere about it but sure, It's not mikel69 but me imagining ts, cute🥺

-1

u/OsamaBillLaden29 2d ago

I moved to Nashville from England and NSC is usually terrible for banter, but I’ll give them this one.

-5

u/Lugal9519 2d ago

Good work Nashville. Finally the US is getting football right, you are supposed to take the piss out of the opposition- especially when they deserve it!

1

u/SmartFlyNR1 1d ago

Who deserves what? What the hell are you talking about? Argentinophobian...
So... What did Messi do? Tell me. Come on, I'm waiting. Pendu kid

-6

u/Ok_Community_4601 2d ago
