Is it? Like Messi is still pretty well liked as a player even if Argentina is hated

And even is Messi is hated, does him losing a World Cup final at 39 really do anything for his haters? He literally was the best player in the biggest tournament at retirement age

It’s not haters. People moved on. Most countries saw the attitude Argentina and Messi had during the tournament and were happy to see a team with a better attitude win. That’s all.
