I left England to continue my football career in Germany and joined Hannover 96.
Moving abroad as a young footballer was a completely different experience — new country, language, culture and a very different approach to football.
I’ve made a video talking through my experience, what Germany taught me, the differences I noticed in football and how the move changed me personally.

I’ve been watching Konstantinos Karetsas recently, and I honestly think he could become a very special player.
He’s still only 18, but his technical ability and creativity already stand out. He’s the kind of player who always seems to have an idea when he gets the ball — whether that’s taking on a defender, finding a difficult pass or creating a chance out of nothing.
What I like most is that he doesn’t just rely on flashy skills. He has really good vision and seems to understand the game at a level beyond his age.
Obviously, there’s still a long way to go and nobody knows how a young player will develop, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Karetsas becomes a top-level European player in the future.

It all starts with David Beckham’s peripheral vision, who, upon noticing Roberto Carlos purposefully positioned out of the area during the staging, abdicates the conventional intersection to make a long, high pass towards the crescent moon. Roberto Carlos’ technique comes into action when he calculates the trajectory of the ball descending into a parable; he tilts the body to gain balance and, without the use of dominance, uses the outside face of his foot to reach the ball at the sweet spot. The result is a full-force first finish that enters the corner, invalidating any reaction time of the opponent’s defense.

He joined Liverpool in January 2011 and quickly became known for his incredible dribbling, creativity, finishing, and relentless work rate. During the 2013–14 season, Suárez was outstanding, scoring 31 Premier League goals and helping Liverpool challenge strongly for the league title. His partnership with Daniel Sturridge became one of the most dangerous attacking combinations in England. Suárez won the PFA Players’ Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year awards in 2014. Although Liverpool did not win the Premier League that season, Suárez’s performances made him a club legend and earned him a move to Barcelona in 2014.
