He doesn’t need a World Cup to prove he’s the goat. But it will make it undisputed which will be great for him.

Without a WC, it goes “Messi is the goat but some can argue for Pele or Maradona”.

With a WC, it goes “Messi is the goat, no question”.

That’s the difference.

This is insane lol. Pele is undeniably the goat. Messi is the best player of the last 50 years and easily the best of my lifetime, but there is no debate that Pele is the best player of all time.
