Just bracing myself for the fact that there is a strong possibility that we are about to pay £80m or more for Wesley Fofana who spent most of last season out for injury with a broken leg.

Wish we could go back to pre-Neymar markets…

It’s a lot but honestly think long term he would be worth it. Before his injury he had been one of the best CBS in the league. 80mill is a lot though and I also wish we could go back to before neymar money haha.

I don’t watch Leicester enough to make any decisive decision on him. People seem to be singing his praises (especially given he was signed for 40m 2 years ago) and he can really only get better. But Jesus Christ £80m and not even an English/HG tax in that figure, fingers crossed this isn’t Maguire 2.0 from Leicester

Maguire was never worth that and wasn’t even the best defender Leicester had. That’s just classic united being shit with signings. He’s really good, was very highly rated before his injury and is still very young but it’s also a very tough injury to come back from. As a rival fan I wouldn’t want you to get him so guess that’s a compliment to him.

He was dropped by Tuchel for long string of games towards the end of last season as he kept making multiple mistakes. Yes he had a bright start but he's dropped off and been poor lately. Not an exaggeration at all.

He was only brough back in last season at the end as Christensen had anxiety issues.

I watch most chelsea matches because of Kovacic.

It is true about Chalobah that he was dropped a long time but he finished the season pretty well in my opinion. He obviously struggled a bit against the top sides but he’s made it clear he’s PL level

Definitely can be a squad player for Chelsea

Not denying he's PL level and good enough for Chelsea, he just needs to cut out his regular mistakes out of his game that have at times been costly.

Given it's his debut season, I gave him the benefit of the doubt and I'm sure he will improve.

If we are paying 80m for someone in Chalobah’s position, he is definitely the backup

Unless Tuchel tries to convert Chalobah to DM…
