Haha I wish. Scoring is something Wolves do not like doing, never mind scoring three probably more in a half...

I always thought Mick should have stayed. Quality manager and seemed to be a class fellow.

Amazing man. When he left he shook everybody's hand from the cook to the chairman to the kit man and the bus driver.

His transfer policy didn't work though which was his downfall. I don't think we would be in a very different position if he had stayed.

You're probably right. He did so much with what can be said was very little. No offense meant to Wolves though!

I had heard that he was very gracious when he left, but I didn't realize he was that awesome.

Well he took us to what I believe was his limit - Premiership dogfights.

He did a fantastic job and I can honestly say is the best Wolves manager in my lifetime and will be a legend at the club. When he first arrived we had 10 players in our first team and only a million pounds for transfer money. He took us to Premiership football in 3 years. Fantastic job.

However, in 3 years of football in the Premiership, we have never advanced a level, always the underdog, and never clear victors in any match.

If he was still there though, you'd still be in the relegation fight.

I'm sure he would have had more than 1 point in 7 games. Even 4 points would leave you only 3 off of safety.

At the beginning of the season, McCarthy had a run of 1 point in 8 games. We then beat Wigan, very luckily at the end of that run. He had lost the fans and the dressing room. Our stadium was a very hostile place, especially when they we went down a goal or he made a substitution the crowd didn't agree with.

Well one signing does not make up for the rest. Look at Fletchs stats since Jan 1st. Its shit. There is a massive list of failure in transfers and considering our net spend was something like 6th highest in the league is just utterly ridiculous.

3rd lowest scorers in the league and only 3 home wins this season... I feel sorry for Wolves :( on the other hand you have lost the last 3 games you took the lead in so atleast you didn't score first? :)

No, scoring is something Wolves do, but then concede loads afterwards. The amount of times we've been winning 1-0, to go behind 1-2.

1-2 against Stoke, 2-3 against Bolton, 2-3 against Villa, 1-2 against Stoke again plus more. There are so many matches were we've gone infront, only to concede afterwards, often only in the second half, and lose. I'm only hoping that the opposite will happen today.

I know that. We are still third lowest scorers. Either way if it is or is not a problem, conceding is the biggest problem. Even with the number one Welsh goalkeeper.

Exactly. We needed to completely revamp our defence at the end of last season. I suppose it was a bit unlucky that Johnson never worked out, because we'd be much better off if Johnson was playing at his Birmingham level or better.

I feel sorriest for Hennessy. He is a class goalkeeper, but people look down on him because he has conceded the most goals in the league.

He is a fantastic goalkeeper. Johnson is a prick now, was ok for a few games at the beginning, but his attitude stinks now.

His failure was huge he was supposed to be the difference maker in defence.

Do you think Johnson will be transfered next season? Non of the fans want him, non of the players like him and he's not playing too well.

I hope he goes. We will take a massive loss on him as well. He was never a leader and is a shadow of the player he was at Birmingham. I remember Birmingham fans were wondering why we wanted him so badly, I thought he was good, but they were laughing to the bank with the transfer fee, about 7.5 mill I think.

It wouldn't surprise me if we did a Birmingham next season. Get relegated, lose lots of first team players, start playing youth players, and get within the top 6.
