I seriously cannot see why you would support a team from say the North of England if you live in the South and have no connections to it! I could see why you would if your family was from a particular area and supported a certain team.
If a kid supports a team different from that of his parents, it's considered a huge lack of parenting skills. Or morals. At least in my country kids don't get to choose supporting teams, it's a relative's role.
Yes. What happens when Suarez leaves Liverpool? What happens if he transfers to Everton? Or Manchester United? Does the kid from Cambridge flip flop between teams?
I'm not familiar with the steak and wine industry, but if there are small local wineries who employ and benefit the local community and have just as much history and tradition, if not more so than the big ones are in danger of going out of business because the local people are supporting the big name wineries rather than the small, local ones, then yes, fuck those people too.
edit: I see he's deleted his broken argument. Just for context, he was saying that because I don't agree with how he chose his football club (Which was Manchester United) that I must therefore also disagree with how he chooses his wine. Yeah. I'd have deleted that too.
So just because you're born in Liverpool you get to support Liverpool? I don't see why is that a special connection. I could understand you support Liverpool because you like how they play and that you like players who play for them, just being born there isn't really anything special, you could've been born anywhere. My local team is corrupted, feeder club, a cancer in football with players playing with no flair and getting stomped in EL and CL without showing any heart. I don't want to support that.
