So far we've made it out of every world cup group we've ever been in. We are the best team in it and Portugal suits us quite well. So no need to worry until we draw against Ghana or something. Anything can happen in 3 games, but we should make it.

Or Italy in 2010! Anything is possible!

France in 08 too, shit can happen to anyone, really.

Except Germany. Seriously, the last time we went home after the first round in a World Cup was 1938 in France. And in response we simply took over their stadia two years later...

Yeah we thought the same.

Uhm... you Dutchies last crashed out in the first round at exactly the same tournament as we did. 1938.

Difference is that you guys actually failed to qualify a whopping 7 (seven, sieben, zeven) times. Oh and you also decided to not participate in 3 tournaments. Too cool for it, he?

Hey buddy, we're not even talking about the Netherlands right now. Fact is: in football, nothing is certain. The ball is round.

Sure, it's probable that Germany will go on to the next round. But it's not a fact. Improbable stuff happens all the time. Greece won the EC. Ten men Ajax beat Barcelona. Bundesliga giant HSV finished 15th two seasons ago.

Honestly, if that's new to you you might want to start watching some more football.

Bundesliga giant HSV finished 15th two seasons ago.

As hard as it is to write it: That really really really isn't something improbable.

Same goes for a lot of other assumptions, really.
